Keito: ...Guh!?

Keito: Ugh, I was barely able to land safely…. Good grief, what a rowdy bunch

Keito: (So this is atop the mikoshi? The center of a small stage has been installed up there.)

Keito: (Superb control, Kiryu. As expected of him; in regards to physical capacity, he`s likely first in our school.)

Keito: (Well… I’m still going to lecture him for an hour or so about his unreasonable treatment towards me.)

Keito: I`ll think of it positively, since I was able to save time on transportation.

Keito: Now then. I suppose it will take a little more time for Kiryu and Kanzaki to arrive. I`ll prepare as best as I can before then. I must get used to the mikoshi soon as well.

Keito: Hm. It`s a surprisingly firm stage. As expected, however, it`s cramped. Rather than a mikoshi, it`s closer to a parade float.

Keito: Or perhaps I should say that it`s similar to a parade at an amusement park.

Keito: (According to the plan, “Akatsuki” and “fine” will appear on each of the mikoshi. Then, they will dance and sing atop the quasi-stages set upon their respective mikoshi.)

Keito: (While following paths that occasionally clash, the two mikoshi will parade through Yumenosaki Academy and collect guests)

Keito: (After doing a complete revolution, they will return to this “auditorium” for the decisive battle.)

Keito: (Is it better to steal the opponent’s guests each time we clash?)

Keito: (Or is it better to focus on protecting our own guests when we clash, and collect a great number of guests during other times?)

Keito: (Since we are essentially performing without rehearsal, I suppose there’s no point in thinking about it.)

Keito: (Things do depend on how “fine” makes its move; showy things like this are Hibiki`s specialty, so I must be careful...Hm?)

 Amazing!
Wataru: Amazing! You have finally made your appearance, my lifelong rival...☆

Keito: Hmph, is that you, Hibiki? I don’t recall ever becoming your rival?

Wataru: Don`t be so modest! Though it may not seem like it, I truly hold you in high regard, you know. I am even jealous of you!

Wataru: Today, I shall happily wreck that arrogant nose-bridge of yours~♪

Keito: That's my line. I'll make you all regret the insolence of brazenly trying to toy with 『Akatsuki』 in the palms of your hands.

Keito: Sorry, but we will defeat you with all our might, 『fine』!

Wataru: Very well, if that is the case, this is war! No ー this is a quarrel, an initiation that everyone ought to complete during their young, boyish years...☆*

Wataru: Yet you have dragged it out until this age?

Wataru: Adolescence has taken too long to reach both you and Eichi. Truth be told, I am so astounded that my mouth will not close...

Keito: I have no comeback. I apologize for dragging you into our quarrel

Wataru: Oh no, apologies are unnecessary! I am fully enjoying this lovable tragicomedy...

Wataru: I am in a rather carefree position, anyway. Now, tonight, let us dance until dawn~

Translation Notes!

The kanji used for landing safely (受け身) has the specific meaning of landing in martial arts.

The use of "initiation" in this line is written as "rite of passage" in the kanji, but has been supplemented in katakana as well.
